Faculty Positions
The Computer Engineering Department at Dogus University, Istanbul, Turkey, invites applications for two full-time positions at all levels. A Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or in a related field is required by the date of appointment. The department is particularly interested in young scholars who demonstrate excellence in teaching, strong commitment to research, and potential for scholarly publications. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in one or more of the areas of embedded systems, software engineering, operating systems and networking.
Dogus University is a foundation university committed to quality and excellence in higher education and research. The university campus is located in metropolitan area of Istanbul and easily reachable from a variety of locations throughout the city. The Computer Engineering Department offers two undergraduate programs (BS in Computer Engineering and BS in Information Systems Engineering) and one graduate program (MS in Computer and Information Sciences). The undergraduate program in Computer Engineering includes a balanced program which covers computer hardware, software and computer applications. The undergraduate program in Information Systems Engineering is designed to have emphasis on software as well as the design of information systems in business and industrial organizations. The language of instruction is English.
The appointment will begin in September 2008. The salary will be determined according to the qualifications of an applicant.
